Summary

In the end of 2018, half of the world’s population was connected to the internet. Based on Indonesia Millennial Report 2019, 79% of Indonesian millennials checked their phones at least 1 minute after they woke up in the morning each day. The digital era and the extreme growth of technology are disrupting almost all our lives’ aspects, especially in the development of our economy within the society. While digital technology has the potential to enhance economies, societies, and the environment, it also has potential risks emerge as it influences the concentration of power, wealth, and social instability.
